Britomartis. 1861 Finish:Stretched 'The Search for the Will'Britomartis. 1861. Cretan goddess sometimes identified with the Greek Artemis. According to legend, Britomartis was a daughter of Zeus (chief of the gods) and lived in Crete. She was a huntress and a virgin.
