Perskie, a noted photographer and painter who captured Franklin D. Roosevelt in both his 1932 and 1936 campaigns. FDR later referred to the artist as a 'faithful friend' following Perskie's passing in 1941. Perskie's son, Leon, continued in his father's footsteps and captured the president's 1944 campaign portrait. Perskie Senior's 1936 portrait was featured
