Rare 1840s 1/4 Daguerreotype Man Holding Samurai Sword? Texas, Possibly Sealed rppc image 2 is a scanQuarter plate, late 1840s daguerreotype of a well dressed man holding two objects. One appears to be box rectangular shaped with ridges and an opening, which his finger is stuck in. Somebody who messaged me was very confident that hes holding a samurai sword in one hand and its sheath in the other I have no idea if that is the case, but its a very interesting thought. He's wearing some sort of silver jewelry or medals on his vest the photographer did
