Papa Lightfoot George - Natchez Trace Condition:New 17 in G majorNatchez, Mississippi native Papa George Lightfoot was a Delta blues singer and harmonica player who recorded several sides for various blues labels including Aladdin, Imperial, Savoy and Excello between 1949 and 1956 before disappearing into obscurity. As interest in rural Delta blues grew in the mid 1960's, Lightfoot's name became more well known which led producer Steve LaVere to Natchez in 1969 to ask Lightfoot to record again.
