Elephant Boy & Two Sisters Miniature on Dark Wood Base in Silver Ladies Collection Dominated by the centrepiece ofIn 1993, a small, orphaned male elephant was found in the southeastern part of Zimbabwe known as Gonarezhou (The Place of the Elephants). His new home was the Mavros land at Mpata Farm, and he was named Boy. He developed a great bond with his handler and a pet zebra, but soon outgrew both. In 1999, Boy joined a bigger family of elephants that were once orphaned and are now trained to carry game scouts and visitors on patrols of a large game reserve.
