Victorian Demantoid Garnet, Burma Ruby & Diamond Insect Brooch PPEND Birmingham 1869DATE: Victorian, c. 1900 This charming little insect placed at the centre of this brooch is set with a Burma ruby, a demantoid garnet and a gorgeous combination of rose and old cut diamonds. Dating from the turn of the century, circa 1900, the insect features little gold detailed legs with gorgeous diamond set wings that spread across the bar. The stones rest in silver settings, while a gorgeous 0. 24ct Burma ruby rests in the middle of its diamond
