February flowers Totnes Mixed media on water colourA roll of lovely Fabriano Artistico arrived at the studio today. I could not resist enjoying some still life time with willow charcoal and soft Rembrandt pastels. The sound of mark making on the surface of this 300gsm paper is so very alluring. Moving the willow charcoal with my finger, feeding the tooth on the paper and gently adding colour with the soft Rembrandt pastels, provided a truly wonderful series of sounds and sensations.
