With two small flat boards, Ben alters the shape shortly after making the piece on the wheel and creates the flattened design. The Nebular Purple glaze is a creation from experimenting with cobalt glazes in the wood kiln. The slow cooling of the kiln creates the light purple micro crystals along the surface.
