I had a Portastudio 688 in bits and saw it was the same head

I very mild relap/polish may help though its normally not worth doing on home machines

as a bit smaller

I am not 100% certain where it came from

it comes sometimes with screws or sometimes has allen key bolts( set screws) to hold it to the motor spindle
