1/4 1840s Daguerreotype ID'd Woman + Girl MOURNING DRESS OAT FAMILY Philadelphia antiques This might have been takenQuarter plate daguerreotype of Charlotte Hopple Oat (born 1782) and her granddaughter Charlotte "Lottie" Oat (born 1832). Lottie is wearing a daguerreotype brooch with a photo of a man; both appear to be wearing later stage mourning clothing. Uncased, resealed in 2017. Some light scratches, not sure if they are visible in my photos, and a chip in the glass. The chip is inside so it doesnt have any exposed sharp edges. 4414
