Glazed stoneware with a very nice impressed geometrical pattern. Manufactured by Sholm Stentj (Soholm pottery) on the island of Bornholm, Denmark. Sholm Stentj, which means Soholms sandstone, was founded in 1835 by Herman Sonne Wolffsen and Edvard Sonne. The name Sholm, comes from the factory where the two founders were employed, a pottery near Copenhagen, in 1828 1839.
