2 Rare 1860s CDVs General Judson Kilpatrick & Wives, Brady, Civil War Soldier bdtvp intact and perfectly functionalTwo original CDVs, the first, taken at Brady's Galleries, shows Civil War General Kilpatrick with his first wife Alice, who died in 1863. The second CDV, taken in Peru, is of his second wife, Luisa Valdivieso Araoz Kilpatrick, a wealthy Chilean woman who met and married Kilpatrick while he was serving as U. S. Minister to Chile (1865 1870). The couple had two daughters, one of whom was the grandmother of artist and designer Gloria Vanderbilt. A rare
