それらが長年飽きることない被写体として在り続ける。もしかしたら、日常はこのモノたちによって輪郭を保っているのではないだろうか。

旅で人は、出会いと別れを繰り返し経験する。自分の前を通り過ぎていった、たくさんの事物。外からやってくる者に、その街で見過ごされていた物が、まばたきをしたのかもしれない。そこで、彼もまばたきを返すようにシャッターを切った。

この試みは、父と娘の旅というレンズを通して見た、作家の日本に対する解釈を表している。最終的に、このプロジェクトの膨大なコレクションは、マンナトの俳句にインスパイアされた詩とともに一冊の本となり、目に見える記念品となる。それは彼らの経験を記念するだけでなく、文化の相互作用と芸術的表現の永続的な力の証しでもある」。
