De bescherming is op hetzelfde niveau als het prestatiefilter en het HE filter, alleen voor een kortere tijd vanwege de veel opener structuur van de schuimmaterialen. In tegenstelling tot alle andere sportfilters zorgt het racefilter voor een veel betere, gelijke luchtstroom over alle cilinders.
