the brewers let 250 kilos macerate for 5 months and 5 days on 200 litres of young traditional 3 Fonteinen lambic and in an oak barrel

The maceration was done with lambic brewed by 3 Fonteinen

then oak vanilla from beans and barrel reaches the midpalate

Iris brings together two elements that were very present in our beers until the mid-20th century: the acidity created by spontaneous fermentation and the bitterness created by the use of fresh hops followed by cold hopping

3 fonteinen oude geuze 2014 lambiek geuze bier 75 cl BTW Hoog the brewers let 250 kilosOude Geuze 3 Fonteinen is een volledig natuurlijke geuze bestaande uit een assemblage van n, twee en drie jaar oude lambiek gerijpt in eikenhouten vaten. Deze geuze is een natuurlijk, ongefilterd bier dat na minimaal zes maanden bottelen spontaan hergist op de fles. Oude Geuze Drie Fonteinen is na botteldatum 10 jaar houdbaar in een stabiele, koele kelder. De Oude Geuze die bewaard wordt, wordt verzacht qua zuurgraad maar krijgt complexere smaaktonen.
