A very unusual piece and highly collectible too - these truly are works of art and I have never seen one like this before

Rare and fabulous set from the infamous house of Missoni

I lowered my price quite a bit on this to accommodate for these small flaws and none of the breaks are so large as to detract or take away from this extraordinary textile and in my opinion the old and well done repairs only add to the immense beauty of this shawl

I did not realize that this was from the 1920s till I found a similar one in The Met collection (click here to see)

Laug apprenticed under Nina Ricci and was the designer behind the first "Mademoiselle Ricci" collection in the summer of 1961. From there he freelanced, working for both Philip Venet and Andre Courreges. It was in 1968 that he opened his own label and I believe this coat to be from fairly early on after that happened.
